Coca-Cola Consolidated is offering HBCU students at participating HBCU’s the opportunity to engage in a weeklong scholar program that will provide a hands-on experience to learn our growing business. Upon the program’s completion, students will receive $1,000 in scholarship funds to be applied to the next school semester. The S.O.A.R. program offers students the chance to develop business acumen, meet and interact with senior leaders, while learning about the largest Coca-Cola bottler in North America.

Program Info

Requirements/Eligibility
  • Full-time rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior students enrolled at a participating HBCU
  • Targeting majors and disciplines aligned with our hiring needs such as Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Computer Sciences, and Engineering.
  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates initiative to contribute to or positively affect change
  • Leadership experience in community and/or school
  • Collaborates, communicates, and develops relationships of trust with others in a way that is professional and impactful
  • Asks questions to understand an issue from multiple angles and poses creative solutions to challenges
  • On-time submission of application with all required attachments (resume, letter of recommendation and a 2-minute intro video)
  • High school diploma 
Scholar Program Details
  • Dates: Monday, June 3, 2024 – Friday, June 7, 2024
  • All expenses paid including travel, lodging and meals
  • Attire: Must be dressed in business casual (dress pants, slacks, khakis, polos, button-down shirts, blouses, knee-length dresses/skirts). Casual attire is fine for after hours. Don’t forget to bring a school T-shirt!
  • Attend three mandatory virtual sessions prior to your required presence during the weeklong experience
Scholarship Funds
  • Upon completion of the program, the scholarship check will be sent and applied towards your education for the following Fall semester

Timeline and Submission Details
  • Submission Deadline: Monday, April 1 at 11:59pm EST
  • Before applying, make sure that you have the following ready:
    • Your most recent, updated resume
    • A letter of recommendation from University Staff or a Faculty Member
    • Your recorded video (no more than 2 minutes)
